How to set up and manage webhooks

Automatically track events happening in your Defense.com account using our flexible webhook feature

Defense.com's webhook feature allows you to integrate with your existing tools and workflows by allowing you to receive a HTTP request when certain events are triggered in your account.

Webhooks are available on our Premium, Advanced and Enterprise packages.

Creating a webhook

To create a new webhook, simply follow the steps below.

  1. Sign in to your Defense.com account as a Company Admin

  2. Click your profile in the top right-hand corner to reveal the navigation

  3. Select Account

  4. Now head over the Webhooks tab

  5. In the top-right-hand corner click + Add Webhook

  6. You'll then be presented with the Add Webhook form where you'll need to set a Name, Description enter the Endpoint URL you'd like us to post to and select the Event Triggers that should be included

  7. Once complete, select Test Webhook which will fire a dummy payload to the Endpoint URL provided. If we receive a successful response from the Endpoint, you'll be able to click Create and finish the setup

A notification will be sent to all Company Admins on your account when a new webhook is created

Disabling a webhook

You can quickly and easily disable webhooks from your Defense.com account by following the steps below.

  1. Sign in to your Defense.com account as a Company Admin

  2. Click your profile in the top right-hand corner to reveal the navigation

  3. Select Account

  4. Now head over the Webhooks tab

  5. Locate the webhook you'd like to disable and click the toggle under the Active column

  6. Click OK on the confirmation modal and the webhook will be disabled

Deleting a webhook

If you'd like to permanently remove a webhook from your Defense.com you can achieve this by actioning the steps outlined below.

  1. Sign in to your Defense.com account as a Company Admin

  2. Click your profile in the top right-hand corner to reveal the navigation

  3. Select Account

  4. Now head over the Webhooks tab

  5. Locate the webhook you'd like to delete and click the trash icon under the Actions column

  6. Finally, select OK on the confirmation modal and the webhook will be deleted
