Isolation rules allow you to define which IP addresses a host running our Orbital Agent can reach, even if the host has been isolated. This can be done at two levels: globally, which applies to all hosts running our Orbital agent or at a group level, where the rules you set only apply to hosts running Orbital in that specific group.
Adding global isolation rules
Log in to your my.defense.com account.
Select Endpoints from the navigation on the left-hand side and then select Orbital Agent from the dropdown.
Now select Global Settings on the top right of the page.
Enter the starting IP address and ending IP address to set the range of IP addresses that hosts can connect to when isolated.
You can then add an optional description using the Label field.
If you'd like to add multiple rules, click + Insert rule to add more.
Once you're finished, click Update Global Settings to save your changes.
Adding group isolation rules
Log in to your my.defense.com account.
Select Endpoints from the navigation on the left-hand side and then select Orbital Agent from the dropdown.
Select Manage Groups on the top right of the page.
Now select Edit group under the Actions column.
Enter the starting IP address and ending IP address to set the range of IP addresses that hosts can connect to when isolated.
You can then add an optional description using the Label field.
If you'd like to add multiple rules, click + Insert rule to add more.
Once you're finished, click Update Group to save your changes.
And that's it! You've successfully setup isolation rules for Orbital π
