Regular, automated scanning of your devices is the best way to ensure that you don't leave you and your business at risk. However, you may, from time-to-time, need to run ad-hoc scans of your devices. If now is one of those times, you're in the right place! Here's how to run a remote scan using Endpoint Protection.

  1. From your Defense.com dashboard, select Endpoints from the navigation on the left-hand side.

  2. From the expanded menu, select Endpoint Protection.

  3. Locate the device you wish to scan by first selecting the correct package and clicking View package endpoints underneath the Actions column.

  4. On the package show page, scroll to the bottom of the page you'll be able to locate the devices included in that package.

  5. Once you have located the device you wish to scan, click Scan Now under the Actions column.

  6. The scan task will now queue and run when the device is online. Any threats identified during the scan will be created in your Threat List as normal.

And that's it! You've successfully run a remote scan using Endpoint Protection. πŸŽ‰
