Accessing the Meraki Dashboard

To begin, open your Meraki dashboard as an administrator.

Selecting the Device

Once you're in the Meraki dashboard, choose the specific device you wish to use with Defense.com.

Navigating to Network-Wide Configuration

Next, locate the Network-Wide option within the dashboard. This section allows you to configure settings that will apply to your entire network.

Configuring General Settings

Under the Configure tab, you'll find the General option. Click on it to access the general configuration settings for your network.

Adding a Syslog Server

Within the Reporting section, you'll notice an option to Add a syslog server.

Entering Server Details

Now, it's time to enter the necessary server details. In the Server IP field, type the private/internal IP address of your collector. This IP address will establish a connection between your Meraki device and Defense.com.

Specifying the Port

In the Port field, enter the number 5514.

Please note that this port differs from the default port, which is 514.

Assigning Roles

It's important to assign all available roles to your Meraki device. Under Roles, add all available options.

Saving Changes

Once you have completed the previous steps, click on the Save Changes button to apply the configurations.

That's it! πŸŽ‰ Now get in touch, so we can confirm your firewall is logging to our platform!
